Our Approach
Evidence-based, personalized care delivered entirely via secure telehealth.
Sleep Pattern Assessment
We conduct a thorough evaluation of your sleep history, patterns, and contributing factors — including mental health, medications, and lifestyle.
Medication Management
When appropriate, we prescribe sleep medications — including non-habit-forming options — and manage them carefully to minimize dependence and side effects.
CBT-I Principles
We incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) principles into your care plan, including sleep restriction, stimulus control, and relaxation techniques.
Treating the Root Cause
Sleep problems are often a symptom of an underlying condition. We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD that may be driving your sleep difficulties.
Sleep Hygiene Guidance
Practical, personalized guidance on sleep environment, screen time, caffeine, exercise timing, and other behavioral factors that affect sleep quality.
Ongoing Monitoring
Regular follow-ups to track your sleep improvement, adjust medications, and refine your care plan as needed.
Who This Service Is For
This service is for adults who struggle with falling asleep, staying asleep, waking too early, or feeling unrefreshed despite adequate time in bed — especially when sleep problems are connected to anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, or other mental health conditions. It is also for those who have relied on sleep aids and want a more sustainable, long-term solution.
Can you prescribe sleep medications via telehealth?
Yes. We can prescribe a range of sleep medications, including non-benzodiazepine options (like Ambien or Lunesta), melatonin receptor agonists, and other evidence-based treatments.
Do I need a sleep study before being seen?
Not necessarily. A sleep study (polysomnography) is primarily needed to diagnose sleep apnea, which is a medical (not psychiatric) condition. For insomnia and most psychiatric sleep disorders, a clinical evaluation is sufficient.
What is the difference between insomnia and sleep apnea?
Insomnia is difficulty falling or staying asleep, often related to mental health or behavioral factors. Sleep apnea involves breathing interruptions during sleep and requires a sleep study and medical treatment. We treat insomnia; for suspected sleep apnea, we will refer you to a sleep medicine specialist.
How long does it take to see improvement?
Many patients notice improvement within 2–4 weeks of starting treatment. Behavioral approaches like CBT-I typically show results within 4–8 weeks. Your provider will set realistic expectations at your first visit.
