Our Approach
Evidence-based, personalized care delivered entirely via secure telehealth.
Perinatal Psychiatric Care
We provide expert psychiatric care during pregnancy, carefully weighing the risks and benefits of medication to support both maternal and fetal wellbeing.
Postpartum Support
Postpartum depression and anxiety are common and treatable. We offer prompt evaluation and evidence-based treatment so you can be present for yourself and your baby.
PMDD Evaluation & Treatment
PMDD causes severe mood symptoms in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. We offer targeted medication and behavioral strategies to reduce symptom severity.
Menopause Mood Management
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can trigger depression, anxiety, and irritability. We address these with evidence-based psychiatric treatment.
Pregnancy-Safe Medication Guidance
Choosing medications during pregnancy or breastfeeding requires specialized knowledge. We provide evidence-based guidance on safety and risk for every option.
Collaborative Care
We work closely with your OB-GYN, midwife, or primary care provider to ensure your psychiatric care is fully integrated with your overall health.
Who This Service Is For
This service is for women experiencing mood, anxiety, or psychiatric symptoms that are connected to hormonal changes, reproductive events, or life stages. Whether you are pregnant, recently postpartum, struggling with PMDD, or navigating perimenopause, our providers understand the unique intersection of hormones and mental health — and are here to help.
Is it safe to take psychiatric medication while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Many psychiatric medications are considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and untreated mental illness also carries risks. Your provider will review the evidence for each option and help you make an informed decision.
What is PMDD and how is it different from PMS?
PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) is a severe form of PMS characterized by significant mood symptoms — depression, irritability, anxiety — that occur in the week before menstruation and resolve shortly after. It is a recognized psychiatric condition that responds well to treatment.
How soon after delivery can I be seen for postpartum depression?
As soon as you need us. Postpartum depression can begin within days of delivery or up to a year after. Same-day appointments are available — please do not wait to reach out.
Do you coordinate with my OB-GYN?
Yes. With your permission, we communicate with your OB-GYN or midwife to ensure your psychiatric care is coordinated with your obstetric care.
